GeoPark continues to be committed to the wellbeing of its neighbors in the Llanos 34 block during the health emergency.
Bureau Veritas, a leading certification and inspection provider, has awarded its Safeguard label to the Llanos 34 block in Casanare and Platanillo block in Putumayo, which recognizes the best practices and highest standards in biosecurity and ensures the widespread implementation of protocols designed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in GeoPark’s operations in Colombia.
Thanks to the effort, trust and commitment of leaders of the Red Cross and Civil Defense, the previous and current municipal administrations of Villanueva and the support of GeoPark, the municipality opened two headquarters for rescue organizations that will benefit more than 45,000 people from the region.
The partnership between GeoPark and the Colombia Somos Todos, James Rodriguez Foundation allowed 200 children and young people from Tauramena and Villanueva to enhance their social skills through recreation and sports.
GeoPark’s priority is to continue taking care of the health of its employees, contractors and neighbors during the selective isolation phase announced by the National Government.
Following a rigorous auditing process, GeoPark has obtained the renewal of the certification of its Environmental Management System (EMS) for all its operations in Colombia in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001:2015.
