To continue promoting good neighborliness through dialogue, active listening and transparent communication, in the first week of December GeoPark held meetings with municipal authorities, local businessmen and neighboring communities of Tauramena to present its 2020 performance and resolve concerns related to its operations.

GeoPark joined forces with the Villanueva Mayor’s Office to hold an agricultural fair last Sunday, called ‘De la Huerta a tu mesa!’ – ‘From the Garden to your Table!’.

Continuing to create value for its neighboring communities, GeoPark has again promoted the improvement of educational infrastructure to benefit its youngest neighbors.

Over 130 people from across Magallanes and public and private sector organizations attended six workshops. GeoPark experts held six technical workshops on business and the energy industry in October and November, aimed mainly at oil sector professionals and university students.

GeoPark was rewarded for its commitment to the health and safety of its workers and contractors by winning the Gold award in the Inspiradores de la Tranquilidad awards held by insurance company ARL Seguros Bolivar.

GeoPark, the Digital Education department of the Neuquen Province Ministry of Education, IBM and the Infotech cluster held an online discussion on network security on October 8 with secondary school students in Neuquen.
