Llanera culture in Casanare

Harps, joropo music, alpargatas (flat, canvas shoes) and the cuatro (a stringed guitar-like instrument) are key parts of the Llanera culture from Colombia’s eastern plains, the Llanos Orientales. And when you put them together with poems, dances and songs that spring from the soul, the art they embody represents the region’s customs and traditions.

Study kits for Putumayo schoolchildren

In line with its principles of good neighborliness and to promote the education and future of children from its neighboring communities, through its subsidiary La nueva Amerisur has donated study kits to 1,655 schoolchildren at rural and urban public schools in Puerto Asis and Puerto Guzman.

Casanare Children Receive 500 Tablets to Study From Home

To promote quality education and stop children and adolescents dropping out of school, GeoPark is supporting the ‘Learn at Home’ program of Tauramena Mayor’s Office by donating 500 electronic tablets for children in primary and secondary schools in the municipality.
