As part of our principles of good neighborliness and promoting local development, we donated a tractor to the association of cane sugar producers in the village of Quebradon to support the production of organic sugar. Representatives of several communities in the rural area of Puerto Asis lead the project.

Within the framework of our partnership with the Orinoquia Biodiversa Foundation (FOB) to identify flora and fauna in the Llanos 34 block, in Tauramena and Villanueva in the Casanare department, we monitored the Pteronura brasilienis otter year-round to establish its population.

To support education about selective waste collection and environmental management systems in Colombia, GeoPark subsidiary la nueva Amerisur took part in the IV Post-consumer Waste Drive in Putumayo, led by Corpoamazonia, the Corporation for the Sustainable Development of the Southern Amazon.
